Our Priorities

  • Accountability

We believe the Board of Education must be accountable to and seek input from all stakeholders—families, alumni, teachers, students, and taxpayers—on district strategy and priorities. That means honest communication, smart budgeting, and responsible long-term planning.

We want to ensure resources, enrichment programs, and capital improvements are fairly distributed across all schools; this means a public roadmap for repairs, safety upgrades, and school modernization based on actual need and community input. We want taxpayers to understand what’s being spent, why, and how it affects students. We want to anticipate growth from new development and prepare now—so we’re not playing catch-up in the near future.

  • Community

Strong public schools are the foundation of a strong community. We’re running to ensure the voices of parents, students, educators, and residents are heard and reflected in the decisions that shape our schools.

We want to make it easier for residents to find information and be involved with the school communities. We want to explore partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and other districts to expand enrichment programs and share best practices. We want to work with teachers, support staff, and administrators to understand their needs—because their success is our students’ success.

  • Education

At the heart of everything we do is the belief that every child in Clark deserves access to a high-quality education. While our schools are strong, they can be stronger.

We need to recruit and retain top educators by offering competitive salaries and benefits —we can’t build great schools if we're a stepping-stone district.

We want every student, in every building, to have access to art, music, library, and STEM programs that inspire creativity and curiosity.

We want to address disparities in state test scores by investing in effective curricula, teacher support, and resources. But beyond test scores, we want to focus on preparing students for life after graduation, whether that’s college, trade school, or the workforce.
